Always the company man, Rich “Ace” Franklin has bailed the UFC out of a predicament once again. Franklin will step in for the injured Vitor Belfort and fight Wanderlei Silva at UFC 147 on June 23rd in Brazil. This will be the second meeting between these two warriors, as Franklin defeated Silva by unanimous decision in a very entertaining scrap at UFC 99. There was some controversy regarding the decision in their first fight, so each man will look to end this bout definitively. Cung Le, who was originally scheduled to fight Franklin at UFC 148 in Las Vegas, will now throw down with Patrick “The Predator” Cote instead.
